A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten address under the same domain name, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you run a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters so as to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be stunningly easy in case you have a shared hosting with our company. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your account. You’ll see all the email addresses that you have set up shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately show you if a particular mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any time. If there is enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you’ll get a warning notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your approval.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all option can be activated easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a mini button conveniently located directly next to each one. With just one click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option using the contextual menu that will appear. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
